 Fifty
for the Future has engaged in a process to develop a new consensus
community strategy for Pulaski County. “Better Together – Metro
Little Rock” initiative will provide the Pulaski County community
an opportunity to build on past success, holistically address challenges,
and effectively maximize future opportunities.
Market
Street Services, Inc. is a national community and economic
development consulting firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, focused
on helping communities, regions, and states develop shared visions
and to identify the means by which regional communities can achieve
long-term community success and well-being. Our goal in every
project is to promote an understanding of comprehensive community
development with a variety of issues and strategy options designed
to build a stronger community.
Market Street will facilitate the Consensus Community
Strategy and Implementation Plan development process. We
will draw from our experiences in other communities and national
best practices to insure that Pulaski County may benefit from
the innovation of others. However, the strategy and implementation
plan that result from this process will be unique to the Pulaski
County community’s needs, and will reflect the fact that
every community has its own opportunities and challenges..
Ultimately, a successful project goes well beyond developing a
strategy for just today’s needs. Market Street offers
specific processes for managing change – and confident enthusiasm
about using them. At the end of the Better Together process, Market
Street will leave Pulaski County with a clearly developed
strategy, realistic implementation plan, and a structure for updating
the process in the coming years. “Better Together” is
the first step towards a bright future for all of Pulaski County.
